The International Motor Show Autosalon Brno is the leading trade fair of its kind in Central Europe, and is listed in the prestigious calendar of motor shows of the International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers O.I.C.A.
Over the past few years the Czech and Slovak republics have become very powerful producers in the automotive industry, and Autosalon held in Brno placed among the seven specialised shows of motor vehicles organised worldwide in the previous year. In Europe, Autosalon ranks among the four leading motor shows, which is confirmed also by the fact that there as many as 66 innovations were presented at Autosalon Brno 2007.
Autosalon Brno currently is not only about the overview of the latest cars, but it steadily develops into an important social event. For example, Autosalon Brno 2007 hosted the premiere of an attractive exhibition topic – “Woman and Car”, which climaxed in the competition titled LADYCAR – Best Car for Women. The LADYCAR 2007 title went to the sporty Audi S5, which was elected by a jury of ten Czech celebrities from show-business and business.
